Guiding P3 German pilot in October.
He comes to fly with me and my pilot friends.
I will design a flight day according to my pilot’s experience, flight expectations, and weather forecast.
No cold weather! Blue sky.
Are there perfect weather forecasts for October at the Bellmunt flight zone?
- At this moment Bellmunt seems the best option. The base of the cloud is 2000 m asl
- We can also fly in Berga, but there is a west wind at 3000 meters above sea level and could affect our trip a bit.
- Organya is another option for a flight, but there are not good weather conditions to go up, so it wouldn’t be easy to climb.
I propose you this schedule:
9:30 am I pick it up at your hotel in Barcelona.
11:00 am. We arrive at Bellmunt. I show you the landing zone. We drink coffee at a local bar. We will meet 4 pilots who will fly with us on the first flight.
12:30 pm. You can inspect the area and make the first flight before 1:30 pm. First flight, you can recognize the site. You will find not very good thermals because there is a strong inversion and the thermals will be narrow and weak.
After that, we will eat at a local bar/restaurant, good and cheap. Walking 5minutes from the landing zone to the bar.
My customer eats “pimientos del padrón”, and he likes them. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Padrón_peppers Bon Appetite!!
Tea time…… waiting best conditions for 2ond flight. Sunset flight.
We will meet with more than 5-7 pilots and we will fly together!
My customer is enjoying his flight.
I keep an eye on him.
Nice walk in the area, close to take-off.
We make the 2nd flight at 5 pm.
It’s the main flight, because of very good weahter conditions.
Good and long flight with possibilities of flight to cross country. If we fly a lot we could finish our activity at 7 pm.
9 pm. I’ll drop you off at your accommodation.
